HKS FINE TUNE TIMING BELT

Strength of timing belt is optimized for each vehicle. Even expansion of engine by heat is considered to stabilize tension of timing belt.

With usual production technology, teeth portion is shaped by pressing from outside. With this production, fabric of teeth is pulled and the tension will reduce strength. Thus, with the new production technology, fabric of teeth is aligned to metal mold of teeth and teeth rubber is filled in the fabric to keep strength of the teeth fabric that can accept high torque.

High density H-NBR is used for teeth rubber to strengthen teeth portion.

Balancer Belt is available for 4G63 engine. It reduces bad affection of not only engine but also vehicle.

* Importance of replacement of Balancer BeltBalancer Belt transfers opposite vibration of engine to reduce total vibration of engine. Stock vehicle is designed to reduce vibration most at normal operation. Therefore, when it is operated at high rpm like circuit driving, vibration is increased and load to balancer belt will be bigger. In addition, balancer belt rotates twice fast as crankshaft, it is easily extended compared to other belts. That causes unbalance of engine rpm and rpm of balancer shaft. Then, vibration will be increased and in the worst case, balancer belt can be damaged. When Timing Belt is replaced, Balancer Belt also should be replaced so that they can rotate synchronously to reduce bad affection to engine and vehicle.
